The ultimate house, the house of bricks, was ready for anything, solid and dependable.

In order to move your relationship with your horse to the next level and work toward having that Brick Horse, round pen work can be an incredible tool. This type of training is not meant to replace the training that you do for your discipline; instead, it will help you to build a solid foundation with your horse in order to assist you in any area of horsemanship, from the hunter/jumper show ring, dressage arena, fox hunting field, to the trails. You can benefit from working with your own horses, or hand in hand with your trainer to maximize your efforts. If you work on mindset so that you can help your horse be the best that he can be, you will find that as you help your horse, you'll be helping yourself. Most people acquire many tools from their trainers; round pen work can help you to work on your timing so that you are using them at the optimum moment. As you learn to deal with the moment, riding the horse underneath you, not four strides ahead of or behind you, the connection that YOU make with your horse becomes the reward; reaching the goal(the trophy or the ribbon) becomes the icing on the cake.

No cat wants to be dirty, and it's up to you to ensure that your cat stays clean. Grooming is very important, as it helps your cat remain clean and healthy. Grooming starts with brushing, as brushing helps to keep the cats hair from becoming hairballs. Brushing will remove loose hair, and help prevent the risk of hairballs. A lot of cats have trouble dislodging hairballs. If the cat isn't able to get a hairball out, it could result in a blockage of the intestines. Blockages are very serious, and can quickly become life threatening for your pet.

Some cats that have started grooming when they were kittens grow to love it, many of which often look forward to their grooming time.
When brushing your cat, make sure that you check his ears, eyes, teeth, and claws. His eyes should be bright and clear with nothing residing in the corners. His ears should be clean, pink in color, and no sign of ear mites. Ear mites result from dirt built up in a cat's ears, and can result in the ears shriveling up and your cat losing his hearing. Ear mites are very annoying for the cat, and hard for you as an owner to get rid of. The best way to get rid of them – is to ensure that your cat's ears stay clean and healthy.
Each time you groom your cat, you should always aim to go a bit further with your examinations. When your cat remains still, you should always praise him and give him a treat. If your cat doesn't cooperate and starts to struggle, you shouldn't fight with him, but instead let him go and try the next day. Once your cat gets used to grooming he will look forward to it each and every day.

Buying a hypoallergenic dog may help reduce allergic reactions to dog hair and dander, but these dogs require special attention because of their hair. Most of these breeds have short coats that resemble human hair rather than traditional fur. As a result, these dogs shed as much as humans, which means they require regular haircuts just like human beings do. Grooming is an essential part of taking care of a hypoallergenic dog. If you do not have the time to schedule regular appointments or the money to pay for three of four groomings a year, then you may have to buy another breed of dog.
While there are tools that you can use to groom your dog, if you do not feel comfortable or if your dog gets angry when you try to groom them, then you will have to find a professional groomer that will trim your dog's hair. Always brush in the direction of the hair and not against it as this will cause matting to occur. Your dog should enjoy the way the brush feels. You can brush your dog at any time as long as they are comfortable. It will only take a few minutes to properly brush your dog.
Matted hair can be difficult to untangle and you may need to bathe your dog in order to loosen the knots. Do not pull too hard or your dog will get unset. If the matted piece will not untangle, you should wait until the next grooming for it to be cut out. If knots persist, then you may need to brush your dog more often or have its hair cut even shorter.
